Puget Sound Ministries is excited to showcase excellent Christian Metal groups.  There are so many kinds of Christian music that are inspirational in praise and worship.  The Puget Sound area has long been home to many different metal rock n roll groups, including Christian metal rock bands.  The difference with a Christian metal group is that it has a Christian message in the lyrics.  This type of Christian music emerged in the late 1970s to evangelize to the wider heavy metal music scene.  Some of the groups include a Swedish band called Jerusalem; bands called Vengence Rising, Stryper, Deliverance, Believer, and Tourniquet.  These groups can influence heavy metal fans toward the Gospel.
